Meet The Owner
Built on experience,
led by Paul
Paul Garvey began his career in construction over 22 years ago, completing his training with Cosgrave Developments. He then spent nine years in Australia, where he ran his own business and worked on residential, commercial and government projects.
After returning to Ireland, Paul established Garvey Building Contractors, bringing together his hands-on trade expertise and experience managing a wide range of residential and commercial projects. This practical understanding allows him to plan ahead, identify potential challenges early and keep every build progressing with care and precision.
Today, Paul remains directly involved in every Garvey project, from the first conversation and initial pricing through to construction and handover. Working closely with a trusted team, architects, engineers and other specialists, he brings a personal, hands-on approach to every stage of the build.
Paul has deliberately kept the company close-knit, taking on projects that allow him and his team to give each build the time, care and attention it deserves. That includes bespoke homes, residential developments and commercial projects.
The aim is simple: build with care, pay attention to every detail and deliver a finished project the whole team is proud of.
Paul spotted things in the drawings that other builders missed. That told us everything we needed to know before the job even started.

Trade background
Paul began his construction career over 22 years ago and completed his training with Cosgrave Developments. Working on site gave him the trade knowledge and attention to detail that still shape how Garvey Building operates.
Nine years of experience
Paul spent nine years in Australia, where he ran his own business and worked across residential, commercial and government projects. That experience developed his ability to plan ahead, manage teams and keep complex work moving.
Establishing Garvey Building
On returning home, Paul established Garvey Building Contractors. What began with his trade experience grew into an owner-led main contracting company delivering homes, renovations, residential developments and commercial projects.

From smaller specialist jobs to major building projects, the people behind Garvey Building bring experience from more than 1,500 projects. That breadth of work helps us plan ahead, solve problems on site and give every job the attention it deserves.

Garvey Building brings together a close team, experienced trades and apprentices learning from the people around them. Paul remains involved in the work and in the relationships with clients and design teams, from the first conversation through to handover

Our mission is to maintain the highest standards of workmanship across everything we do, and to make sure those standards are passed on to the next generation of tradespeople. We take pride in the quality of our work and expect that same commitment from everyone working on a Garvey project.
Our apprentices learn directly from experienced tradespeople on site, developing their skills, building good habits and understanding the standard of work expected of them. Passing on that knowledge is a responsibility we take seriously because it's how we maintain the quality of our work as the company continues to grow.
